Sant'Anna School present at the annual event of Associazione APEnet - Italian Network of Universities and Research Institutions for Public Engagement

The annual event and the first members' meeting of the APEnet Association - the Italian Network of Universities and Research Institutions for Public Engagement, was held on Wednesday, December 14th, at the site of the Faculty of Architecture of La Sapienza University in Rome.
APEnet, founded in 2018 as a network active in the field of development, training and promotion of public engagement, was established as an Association in April 2022 and now has 41 founding entities including Universities, Polytechnics, Advanced Schools and Research Institutions.
Sant'Anna School is among the founding entities of the APEnet Association and expects to make a concrete and important contribution by joining the 3 working groups in the areas of evaluation and monitoring, networking and communication.
The day titled "Destinazione Public Engagement" began with institutional greetings by Daniela De Leo, pro-rector of Public Engagement at La Sapienza University, and continued with a presentation of the APEnet Association by Giulia Carluccio, APEnet president and pro-rector of the University of Turin and Pier Andrea Serra vice president of APEnet and pro-rector of the University of Sassari.
Antonio Uricchio, ANVUR president, also participated in the event with institutional greetings.
The morning continued with speeches by members of the APEnet board: Giorgio Chiarelli president of the Coordination Committee for the Third Mission INFN and Elisabetta Bani, pro-rector for the Third Mission of the University of Bergamo, on the theme "Doing Public Engagement."
This was followed by the presentation of the "Barometer of Public Engagement" as a monitoring tool by Andrea De Bortoli, secretary general APEnet, University of Turin.
The afternoon was entirely devoted to working groups and the first APEnet membership meeting with several speeches by delegates of the entities present.
Next meeting will be held in January 2023.
