Courses

First-year Ph.D. candidates are required to attend compulsory classes specifically designed for the programme. Additionally, they are encouraged to participate in lectures, especially at the graduate level, within the general field of their research. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the programme, each candidate will be required to attend discipline-specific classes. This implies that regardless of the topic of investigation, each candidate will take subject-specific classes in each of the four research areas involved in the Ph.D. (Agri-food and Environmental Law; Public International Law; European Studies; Political Philosophy).

Moreover, research methodology courses are offered to provide students with the opportunity to acquire methodological expertise and apply it to substantive research in their chosen topics. A few classes dedicated to acquiring professional skills, such as public speaking, will complement their educational path.
