The seminar Sensory Feedback in Limb Prosthetics: From Surgical Reinnervation to Wearable Stimulation will take place on 24 September 2026, from 1:30 to 4:00 pm, at Classroom 1 of the BioRobotics Institute.
The event brings together researchers, engineers and clinical professionals working on the development of new solutions to restore natural and meaningful sensory feedback in upper-limb prostheses.
The seminar will focus on the latest approaches to electrotactile stimulation, multimodal sensory feedback strategies tested with people with upper-limb amputation, and new surgical techniques for creating effective biological interfaces between the nervous system and prosthetic devices.
The programme will feature contributions by Klaus Peter Koch, Christoph Maier, Christian Cipriani, Jennifer Ernst and Solaiman Shokur, alongside opportunities for discussion and exchange. The initiative is organised by Solaiman Shokur and Calogero Oddo, with the support of TRUST funding from Trier University of Applied Sciences and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.
