9 - 10 July 2026 | Aula Magna
The AfricaConnect Symposium brings together African scholars, policy actors, and the Sant’Anna community to explore environmental cooperation as a key driver for addressing shared global challenges through trans-disciplinary research and international collaboration.
As Africa and Europe pursue ambitious goals within development and research agendas, an essential question remains: how can joint efforts effectively translate into concrete actions for climate mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable livelihoods?
Over two days in Pisa, presentations and round tables will foster dialogue on both the challenges and the opportunities emerging from environmental cooperation. Discussions will highlight practical and innovative solutions developed through trans-disciplinary approaches, while also considering the broader agricultural, health, socioeconomic, legal, and political dimensions connected to environmental sustainability.
The symposium aims to strengthen collaboration across institutions, disciplines, and regions, creating a space where research, policy, and practice can converge to promote more inclusive and sustainable futures.
Registration details and the link to participate will be available soon.
