Microbial volatile compounds: the alphabet of a bewitching and intrusive language that shapes plant behavior
The Institute of Plant Sciences at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna is pleased to invite you to the next seminar of the Series on Plant Molecular Physiology, featuring Javier Pozueta Romero, Professor at The Institute for Mediterranean and Subtropical Horticulture "La Mayora" (Spain).
The seminar will take place on Friday, 17th July 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in Aula Magna of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Piazza Martiri della Libertà 33, Pisa.
Javier Pozueta Romero's research focuses on identifying microbial-based biostimulants and gaining a holistic understanding of the biochemical, molecular and cell biological mechanisms involved in plant responses to these compounds. In his talk, he will explore how microbial volatile compounds act as a complex chemical language that profoundly influences plant behaviour.
