A new training program developed by the DIRPOLIS Institute (Law, Politics and Development) at Sant’Anna School on “Preventing and Responding to Gender Based Violence” will be held on June 13-16. Online applications are accepted until 4 June 2018 at www.santannapisa.it - Sezione Alta Formazione.

Gender-based violence affects people in every country. Violence occurs in schools, in homes and at workplaces, mostly perpetrated by an intimate partner. This course will provide lawyers, social workers, advocates, practitioners, students, and humanities graduates with a strong foundation for interventions to prevent interpersonal and gender based violence.

The goal of the program is to brief participants about the tools to address gender violence and abuse prevention more proactively and effectively. Senior trainers and academics will share lessons learned in the critical area of gender equality promotion and gender violence prevention.
