Applications are now open for the II level master's degree in Environmental Management and Control (GECA) sponsored by the Sant'Anna School of Pisa. The course of study has been offering, for nearly 30 years, a high-level multidisciplinary course in the field of environment and sustainability. The GECA master's program also boasts the involvement of a significant number of institutions and companies, which invest in new talent by providing grants to cover all or part of the tuition fee: about 15 scholarships are provided each year thanks to the support of partner companies. Born in 2007 as the first and only master's degree in Italy focused on the problem of the integrated waste cycle and an evolution of the "Master Ambiente", organized by Sant'Anna School in the previous eleven years, the GECA master's degree is in continuous development, taking into consideration current issues such as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the European Green Deal. For the 2024 edition, the XXVIII, the program has been reshaped to be more dynamic, delving into the logic of current economic transitions: circularity, energy transition, decarbonization and their geo-political, economic, social and environmental implications. In addition, for the first year the Master's program is part of 3LoE - Three level centers of professional excellence, a European Erasmus+ project supported in Italy by Confindustria, aimed at recognizing and enhancing skills for the Green Economy.
