Pierdomenico Perata, Rector of Sant’Anna School and the coordinator of the Plant Lab at the Institute of Life Sciences, is to receive the Confagricoltura Mantova award for “outstanding contribution to research excellence in plant physiology” on April 24 at 12.00 noon. By sharing the results of his research with a broader audience, Pierdomenico Perata will give his acceptance speech emphasizing the importance of his experience in the Mantova Food & Science Festival.

Matteo Lasagna, President of Confagricoltura Mantova, officially announcing the “L’agricoltura mantovana” award, said they wished to acknowledge the importance of his dissemination activities, “The molecular biology approach has allowed a deeper understanding of the behavior of the metabolic systems of plants, the stress resilience of crop production, and the use of colored pigment as nutraceutical ingredients. Additionally, we acknowledge the Sant’Anna School successful approach to strategy development as a top higher education institution in the world”.
