Centro Sostenibilità e clima

 “Sustainability, primarily pursuing mitigation and adaptation to climate change, must become the guiding principle of future development, characterized by diversified interactions between actors, both institutional and business, to define the constraints and rules aimed at guaranteeing intragenerational and intergenerational equity”

The Center for Sustainability uses the integrated framework of the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations to advance the causes of people, of the planet, of the shared prosperity, of peace and partnerships for current and future generations and to ensure the institutionalization of sustainability issues.

The center has the following objectives:

  • The establishment of a multidisciplinary and potentially interdisciplinary research area, where the different skills of the various Institutes and research groups of Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies dialogue together on sustainability, both internally and externally, by developing common research projects and training activities;
  • The experimentation of new approaches and methodologies of interdisciplinary research and teaching;
  • The increase of knowledge and awareness of sustainability in the national and international academic community, contributing to the 2030 Global Agenda for Sustainable Development, building networks of academic, institutional and civil society stakeholders.
