Alessandro Marchesin, a student in the Master in Innovation Management of the Scuola Sant’Anna and the University of Trento, graduated “cum laude” with a dissertation titled “KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND NETWORK DYNAMICS IN A EUROPEAN RESEARCH PROJECT SETTING. THE CASE OF SOBIGDATA++”.

The goal of Alessandro's thesis was to investigate two topics that have grow in importance in the last decades; knowledge sharing and network theory. Organisational studies, in fact, are exploring the power of connecting different minds in a shared environment and let them work on intangible assets to create value for customers and the research community. To achieve his goal, Alessandro analyzed the case of the European project SoBigData++ in which the Scuola Sant’Anna hasan important role as the leader of a Work Package.

SoBigData++ in an international consortium which strives to deliver a distributed, Pan-European, multi-disciplinary research infrastructure for big social data analytics, coupled with the consolidation of a cross-disciplinary European research community, aimed at using social mining and big data to understand the complexity of our contemporary, globally interconnected society.
